My editing process
Everyone has their own but I wanted to share mine for those starting out in the Wedding Photography / Couples Photography industry!
1st - Download images while driving home
I will bring my laptop and 1st hard drive and download the images onto my 1st hard drive while literally driving home.
2nd - Scan for sneak peaks
Now, I will skim the images and choose about 30 images from the full session to use as sneak peaks. That will tackle me about 48 - 72 to edit and then review the edit.
3rd - Cull full gallery twice
Going through, flagging the ones I remove, and doing that once more. Narrow down the sessions and then upload them to lightroom.
4th - Edit with my preset
I will place my edit on all the photos altering the exposure if needed and then leave it till the next day.
5th - Alter Edits
I usually see the images from a new perspective the next day and tweak accordingly.
6th - Detail Edit
This is where I go in and remove pimples, bruises, background extremities, and stray hairs.
7th - Add B + W
Create a virtual copy, bring it in tight, and throw on my black and white preset. This brings out the emotion behind the photo immensely.
8th - Download and upload
I download from Lightroom C and upload to my gallery delivery service Pass+.
